Good news – our diligent GM
has organized for the courts will be
sanded on April 3 and will be available for use again on Apr 10. Thanks
Andy! Please note that the crts will be closed during
this period.
Due to the closure, the Corporate teams challenge will
commence mid April. Why not get a team of players together from your work
to play in the Corporate teams challenge? The way it
works is that teams of 3 - 5 players will play against other local
businesses. Come and join in the fun for this lunchtime workout. If you would
like to play, but can’t get a group together, drop me a line and we’ll ‘assign’
you to a group.
Junior Spring Break
Camps are just around the corner
– designed for juniors of all levels aged 7 - 17yrs, these activities will take
place on Tuesday and Thursday April 11 and 13.
Cost $45 member, $60 non
member,
2 sessions 9.30 – 12noon =
beginners and good beginners;
1 - 3.30pm = good beginners -

April is World Squash
Month and we will be celebrating
squash on the week-end of April 29-30. On Sat 29 from noon and
Sunday morning we will be holding a Handicap tournament for all players
- from novice to advanced, please include your name on the Squash Board or drop
me a line. We will also be holding a come'n'try
session and free coaching. Then, from 2 - 5pm Sunday 30
the cream of Sport & Health (with a couple of friends) will be competing
against the UK RAF squash team in their first visit to the US in 20 years, come
along and see some fantastic squash. A reception will be held on the 3rd
floor lounge 5 - 6pm. These activities are free.
Womens beginner clinics and junior coaching [please note
change of start date] - Ladies,
come along and try your hand at squash in a friendly environment - clinics run
for 5 weeks at 10am on Sat commencing April 2. At the same time (on a different
court) we will be holding Junior
coaching for 7 - 17 yr olds. Come along and have a lesson while your
child is also joining in the fun. Clinic costs - ladies 2 - 3 players $40 per
player, 4 - 5 = $30 each. Juniors $25 per participant.
(Please note that if there is demand for an after school session, we will try
to accommodate)
After School Program:

Summer Camps: Junior Summer Camps will be held the following weeks:
Week 1: June 26 - 30
Week 2: July 17 - 21
Week 3: August 7 - 11

Have you seen the new Squash Ladder
board? The Challenge ladder divides players into divisions 1 – 6. I’m asking
your help to set it up over the next week or so. Please check your disc is in
the correct level, so that by the end of the mth,
players can start challenging other players as per the rules detailed on the
board.
