Worldgate
Sport and Health are proud to announce their hosting of
the
Washington DC area's first Men's Professional Squash Association
(PSA) event. The tournament is a "One-Star" $10k
prize money event, and is scheduled for Feb 2007 just preceding the
Tournament of Champions in New York City. The tournament
features over 20 of the top 100 players and also includes
several of the US's PSA players. Qualifying is
scheduled for February 13-14, and the main event for February
15-18. An open non-professional tournament will be run
concurrently over the weekend. It is hoped
that several of the PSA players will be enticed to mingle with
patrons on and off the court in a series of planned activities,
including a reception that will be held on the Saturday night.
So please mark your calendars and take this opportunity to
be part of an historic DC squash event.
Worldgate Sport and Health has four international
squash courts constructed in a lovely, open plan gymnasium setting
that also
includes a pool, tennis courts, running track, racquetball
and basketball courts. The sports complex is situated within a
modern Shopping Mall. Surrounding the center are a diverse array of
quality restaurants, shops, Starbucks, a cinema and a Marriott Tower
Hotel. Worldgate is part of the Herndon/Reston area in Northern
Virginia which prides itself in its focus on community.
To ensure the success of this event, and to secure the future
for further activities of this sort we need your assistance.
